Roses and Kaleidoscope

This is a fascinating project that started in 2012 as a Facebook page where ASCII and Unicode patterns have been generated. In this abstract project, the generated patterns are adapted for digital art. Why ASCII and Unicode for digital design are so clever? This project shows how a straightforward system of 8-bit and 16-bit code and potentially any HTML text field can be utilised to generate intensely beautiful patterns through iteration and duration and collaboration it can produce sophisticated and vibrant results. This project aims to set up an interactive digital patterns bank on Facebook.

Mashav

Mashav is a wearable ventilation system that provides comfortable, breathable protection in hot conditions. It uses the "Chimney Effect" to create air circulation within the garment and includes a solar ventilation system in the hood to enhance airflow to the neck and head. Inspired by the traditional "Galabiya" dress worn by Bedouin society in the desert, Mashav combines traditional clothing with modern design. The project offers a solution to the increasing demand for protective clothing as temperatures rise due to the climate crisis and a fresh perspective on the evolution of apparel.

Journey Mate is a smart modular backpack which can enrich travel experiences. The innovations of this product are presented as follows. First, the modular structure can offer convenient feelings, which can be stored and carried easily all day long. Second, the interactive visualized sound provides travelers with a pleasure and memory experience via their visual-auditory interaction. Third, supported by the intellectual technology, the module keeps the real human elements of the travelled city, that enrich the quality of individuals travel life via voice library and world footprint library.

Draw One

Draw One Calendar is a minimalist calendar that uses the form of a tissue box as a metaphor for the preciousness of time, and the form of paper drawing also means to cherish time like saving paper. At the same time, the user can also see the remaining tissue through the opening on the front of the calendar, linking it with the rest of the year. Draw One Calendar wants to convey a correct concept of time, that is, cherish time and live in the moment.

Home Bar and Coffee Spinning Ambient

A bar and a coffee reading ambient gets all stylish. Like a scene from a movie, where hidden matters are revealed at a push of a button, in this design a hidden bar rotates out from behind a coffee reading space at the command from a smart phone. This is possible by the combination of a rotating platform, custom furniture and automatization technology that qualifies this project as a multifunctional furniture for small spaces.

Anima Code

With the widespread use of social media, generating life records in digital media has become a new habit for humans. However, once a person dies, those digital properties are often forgotten and inaccessible. Anima Code is a personal seal with an engraved QR code that contains an access key to a person's digital data. By scanning the code stamped beforehand, the bereaved ones can reach the person's digital presence after his or her death. Through the physical interaction of stamping a seal, the designer explores the secure yet intimate approach for inheritance in the digital era.
